Venue and lodging

The School venue and the lodging for participants are at the Kreuzbergpass Hotel-Passo Monte Croce****, Sesto (Bolzano, Italy) – a 4-star hotel, with many services and amenities, beautifully located in the heart of the Dolomites (UNESCO World Heritage Site), at the gate of the green and fascinating Val Pusteria and right at the feet of some of the most famous mountains.

Lodging (half board: breakfast and dinner) is included in the school fees. Fellowship recipients will be accommodated in shared rooms. Accommodation in single rooms for students can be arranged upon request and requires an additional fee.

Getting here

  • By air.  Fly to any of the following airports nearby and use public train or bus connections (see below) or rent a car: 2 hours from Venice airport via A27; 2.5 hours from Trieste airport via A4/A23; 2.5 hours from Innsbruck airport via A13/A22/E66; 3 hours from Verona airport via E45/E66; 3 hours from Ljubljana airport via Villach and B100.
  • By car. The main routes are the ones listed in the “by air” section.
  • By train. Ride to San Candido – Innichen train station. There is a bus connection from the train station to the hotel, or ask for the shuttle service.
  • By bus. There are connections from the main cities and towns nearby. There is a daily direct bus from Trieste and Udine.
