Lecture: An engineer’s perspective on energy efficiency
Energy Efficiency is a key challenge in a variety of sectors, ranging from urban planning to detailed consumer product design. Long term strategic thinking, human behavior during product purchase and use, complex sets of data -or lack of it- are just some of the issues to be taken into account when dealing with efficiency, therefore a whole new set of professional skills is required. The aim of this lecture is to provide an overview of how energy efficiency can be addresses in different contexts, such as: strategic planning, buildings, industrial processes and consumer products.
Lecture: e-mobility in practice
Experimental data on the electric car sharing at Area Science Park. The science and technology park attracts around 1,000 cars a day from the people who work there. How to prepare charging infrastructure for 5, 10, 50 or 100 electric cars? How to provide a zero-emission car sharing service?
